How We Give

 

At Jordan Crossing Church, we believe tithing and offering is the result of a thankful spirit who desires to return to God a small portion of what He has blessed us with; in reality what is already His.

 

Our calling is to share the inspiring news of the gospel to all the world. Tithe and offerings are the main source of funding for this mission. Money given to the church supports God's plan of spreading His message of love to the whole world. 

What The Bible Says:

"And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord's. It is holy to the Lord." - Leviticus 27:30

"Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it." -Mal. 3:10

"So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver." - 2 Chorinthians 9:7

How The Church Uses Your Tithe:

 

• To support evangelists, pastors and Bible instructors

• To support people in administrative leadership (directors, secretaries, etc.)

• To support evangelistic outreach and nurturing ministries of the church (including church schools and universities, conference centers/camps, media programs, literature evangelists, and retirees)

How The Church Does Not Use Your Tithe:

 

• Local church maintenance and other operating expenses. (these are funded by offerings)

• School and University maintenance and other operating expenses. (these are funded from tuition, church subsidies, and institutional income)

• Church, conference or institutional building projects. (these are funded from members and non-tithe donations)
